GO - Give an Opportunity is a non-profit organization under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) incorporated in Philadelphia, PA.
At GO Give an Opportunity, we take price in that everyone who works here does so voluntarily. We don't receive a salary nor do we expect one since we are motivated to know that we work for the needed ones.
Our main goal is to promote local education among students of high academic performance and low economical resources. We want to be able to provide those children who show good standing, the possibility to access the proper education eliminating any of the common obstacles brought by the lack of money and food in the families. At the same time we want to further educate these children with the proper values, customs, responsibilities and teach them to have their own personal goal in life. We want to provide children with all the tools needed to be
successful and come out of poverty.
To accomplish our goal, GO - Give an Opportunity gives donations to programs abroad who manage social projects and support our same cause.
Programs currently supported:
Scholarships to Children: managed by Fundacion COINED, an Argentinean non profit organization regitered under the Registro de Fundaciones de la Republica Argentina, CUIT: 30-70814638-9. Oportunidad Educativa is the name of the scholarship program in which children are selected yearly and are sponsored completely to cover all their needs to be able to study within high school and college.
Oportunidad Educativa originated in Cordoba, at IPEM 18 school, where most of the students that attend don't have the resources or the motivation necessary to finish their education. Even now, the program still focuses on an area around Cordoba city.
