GO - Give an Opportunity is a non-profit corporation incorporated in Philadelphia, PA. It was created with the inspiration of Oportunidad Educativa, a project sustained by Fundacion COINED, a German-Argentinean non profit organization that promotes international education since 1971.
Our main goal is to promote local education among students of high academic performance and low economical resources. We want to be able to provide those kids who show good standing, the possibility to access the proper education eliminating any of the common obstacles brought by the lack of money and food in the families. At the same time we want to further educate these kids with the proper values, customs, responsibilities and teach them to have their own personal goal in life. We want to provide kids with all the tools needed to be
successful and come out of poverty.
GO - Give an Opportunity is currently focusing on a scholarship program managed by Fundacion COINED, destined to Argentinean students. Each
scholarship given represents an opportunity for a scholar and a direct benefit to the family, to improve their life conditions.
This program originated in Cordoba, at IPEM 18 school, where most of the students that attend don't have the resources or the motivation necessary to finish their education. Even now, the program still focuses on an area around Cordoba city.
GO - Give an Opportunity gives grants to Fundacion COINED to be able to cover expenses of current sponsored kids already enrolled in the program and in turn, Fundacion COINED is able to sponsor new kids into the program.
