GO Give an Opportunity gives grants. Currently we are focusing on the Oportunidad Educativa program organized by Fundacion COINED in Argentina. Working through Fundacion COINED that is a qualified Argentinean, tax-exempt organization, we seeks to reach, educate and motivate the general public and the current and future leaders of society. The specific efforts of GO include support for:

•  Primary and secondary school children enrolled in school with outstanding grades and that show initiative to improve.

•  Programs and activities that provide personal involvement in the educational process, nutritional process, family development process.

•  Lecture series, seminars, academic contests and other educational programs for young people, educators, professionals and other societal leaders on the relevant GO – Give an Opportunity principals.

•  Other programs and activities that, in the opinion of the Trustees, meet the obligations of the Foundation's Mission.

Grants are made in good faith and GO reserves the right to require periodic reports on the status of the grant funds and certifications that such funds are being used for the purpose intended, as well as the opportunity to audit, at its own expense, the recipient's records as they relate to the activities funded by a Foundation grant.


The cost of GO Give an Opportunity includes:
- Administrative Expenses
- Grant money (sponsorships)
- Promotion and search for sponsors


The resources mainly come from:
30% sponsors and donations
70% Sustained by Fundacion COINED

GO Give an Opportunity has ultimate authority to use contributions made to Fundacion COINED at our discretion for purposes consistent with our tax exempt purposes.


WHERE DOES YOUR MONEY GO


 

1) Once you start to make your monthly donation, your funds will go to a GO - Give an Opportunity bank account in the USA. These funds will be saved until the next grant is to be sent to Fundacion COINED.

Fundacion COINED sponsors all the kids accepted into the Oportunidad Educativa Program. When Fundacion COINED receives a grant from GO - Give an Opportunity, these funds are destined for the existing children in the program and Fundacion COINED is able to add new kids into the program. Because of this, unless you sponsor a child to cover more than all their monthly expenses ($65/month), the child will not notice any economical difference between before he was sponsored or after.

Once Fundacion COINED received the grant which will include your donated funds, they will destine this money for your child's expenses and what Fundacion COINED had destined to spend on your child will be use to sponsor a new child.

2) A child will be selected for you at the time you sign up to be a sponsor and you will start communication with your child. As a scholar, kids already have set benefits and economical help they are to receive. They can always count on this and for security purposes don't depend on their sponsor to be a lifetime sponsor.

With this flexibility, we secure a full program for the scholars and we allow flexibility for those unstable sponsors.

What the child will value from your sponsorship is all the communication he will have with you and the opportunity to look after someone that can encourage them to go furher than they ever thought they could.

3) Once a year you will receive a financial report which will combine expenses of the Oportunidad Educativa program from Fundacion COINED and GO - Give an Opportunity.
